Ragueneau was a character that appeared all throughout the play. He was a chief, pastry shop owner, and
Cyrano's friend. He had a love for poetry; he would give away pastries in return for poems. Many parts of the book
appeared in his shop; Cyrano and Christian met for the first time in his shop. He also began to catch on to the fact that
Cyrano loved Roxane before many other people did.
